CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATIVES

The customer service operation at Robbins Timber is a key function, which links all other departments and offers a very varied and dynamic working environment.

To ensure future continued success, we require customer service operatives to support our established and experienced team. We offer full training both on the job via our authorised trainer, and/or external third party courses.

The role includes serving call in trade, order picking for delivery, wrapping and packing for carriers and general housekeeping. As a customer service operative you would be expected to eventually operate lifting equipment including a side-loader and forklift, and machinery including a cross cut and panel saw.

Previous experience in a warehousing or merchanting role is very welcome, but not critical. The role is also suited to a competent and friendly individual with an ability and willingness to learn. You may be starting out and interested in the ever evolving, very green timber sector, or you may be looking for a career change with a new challenge. Whatever your motivation, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Salary and benefits will be discussed at first round interview, but will reflect the experience/capability of the applicant and will be competitive.

Location: Bristol

Working hours: Mon to Fri – 8am to 5pm

WOOD MACHINISTS

Our machining facility sits at the very heart of Robbins Timber and is critical to the overall service we offer. We continue to invest in our machinery and technology, as well as our operators.

To ensure our continued development, we require wood machinists to support our established and experienced team. We offer full training both on the job via our authorised trainer, and/or external third party courses.

Our machinery includes a tool room, multi-rip saw, band saw, cross cuts, spindle moulder, beam saw, thicknesser and several planer moulders. This large investment gives us both capacity and flexibility to meet a huge range of customer requirements. As a wood machinist you would be expected to eventually operate the full suite of machines.

Previous experience in this area is very welcome, but not critical. The role is also suited to a practical individual with an ability and willingness to learn. You may be starting out and interested in the ever evolving, very green timber sector, or you may be looking for a career change with a new challenge. Whatever your motivation, we would be delighted to hear from you.
