HISTORY

Robbins Timber was founded in Bristol Docks in 1881 and has remained an independently owned merchant ever since. The company has seen significant change over the last century, but has always remained committed to offering a high quality product and service.

 

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

We are major stockholders of timber products, including hardwood, softwood and sheet material, as well as engineered and modified products. The full range is available for collection in Bristol or via UK and international delivery.

We have a large computer operated modern machining facility and can offer a fully bespoke and intentionally flexible machining service, with minimal lead time. We also offer Panel Cutting, Panel Pressing, Preservative Treatment and Priming & Coating.

Our Bristol depot includes a trade counter which offers in the region of 300 stock timber profiles, which we machine in-house, alongside a full range of sheet materials, adhesives, finishes, fixings and fastenings and much more.

 

NO CUSTOMER TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL

We are able to fulfill orders for one length or sheet, right through to full loads of timber products, and have an extremely wide customer base ranging from the DIY enthusiast, to major contractors and merchants. We also specialize in timber, plywood, adhesives and finishes for the marine industry.

In short, we offer a one stop shop for timber products and related services as a specialist timber merchant.
