YACHT DECKING & MARINE JOINERY
We import and machine VSR Green Teak in solid form. The most popular application is quarter sawn yacht decking, but from toe rails to trims, we fulfill orders for a range of uses.
A VIABLE ALTERNATIVE
The material is different to the traditional Myanmar teak , typically having a wider, less uniform grain and some colour variation.
Notwithstanding the above, it benefits from a Class 1 durability rating and will perform and age as the more traditional timber does. The colour variation identified above, whilst evident when freshly machined, settles over time, particularly with exposure to sunlight.
AVAILABILITY
Available in 25, 38 & 50 mm thick material, kiln dried, square edged and sorted to a premium grading, and available rough sawn or machined to profile. Sapwood and defects such as cracks, open knots, wormholes, wane and pith are not allowed.
Unlike the traditional Myanmar teak, the lengths are shorter, ranging from approximately 1.2 to 2.5m.

QUARTER SAWN YACHT DECKING MATERIAL
We have recently taken delivery of an engineered, in this case finger jointed, form of VSR Green Teak.
There is some colour variation between each finger jointed piece, but this will settle with exposure to sunlight. The huge benefit is the longer length.
Being quarter sawn and available in smaller sections, the product is aimed specifically at a yacht decking application.
AVAILABILITY
Our initial stock measures 29 x 64mm and is 4.5m long. It is available rough sawn or machined to profile.

PREMIUM LOG SELECTION
Our VSR Green Teak Veneer is produced from the highest quality logs, which are selected for their specific diameter and quality, before being sliced to produce a premium, quarter sawn product.
We typically supply the veneer for marine furniture and cabinetry projects, but the potential interior and exterior joinery applications are endless.
